Two Dead, One Injured in Dwight Shooting

DWIGHT - Several police departments are investigating a violent crime in Dwight, leaving two women dead and one man injured. Dwight police responded to 200 West North Street around 4:30 A.M. An officer arrived to find a man with a gunshot wound, and two women dead. Police didn't identify the three people, and couldn't confirm if they lived in the house. The injured man was taken to an area hospital.He is recovering from surgery and hasn't spoken to police.

Meantime, eight area police departments, plus the Livingston County Coroner and State's Attorney
is working to find answers.

"I want to assure the community of Dwight and the surrounding communites, we will
not quit until this case solved,” said Tim Henson, Dwight Chief of Police.

“Very Surprised. Um, in a small town you don't think anything like this will ever
happen. They will be missed greatly,” said Dwight resident Sharon Voigt.
