UnityPoint Health was recognized for the third year in a row as one of the nation's Most Wired Health Systems by Hospitals and Health Networks magazine. UnityPoint Health received the honor for its adoption of technology designed to improve and coordinate patient care. Among some of the key findings this year: 67 percent of Most Wired hospitals share critical patient information electronically with specialists and other care providers, which reduces the likelihood of medical errors; 37 percent of Most Wired hospitals aggregate data from patient encounters to create a community health record; and 71 percent of Most Wired hospitals manage care transitions compared with 57 percent of all responding organizations.
