Davis says his top priorities include putting America on a debt repayment plan, improving the unemployment rate, and fixing roads and highways.
With the nation more than $17 trillion dollars in the red, Davis says working to prioritize spending must happen so future generations don't suffer.
"All of these artificial deadlines, these fiscal cliffs, the things that have given us across the board cuts and sequestration can all be done through regular order in congress," Davis explained.
Davis is also working to finalize the farm bill, which expires at the end of September.
