BARTONVILLE - Rain wasn't stopping people in Bartonville Saturday from working to beat out cancer.

Walkers and runners traded in their shoes for rain boots at the 13th annual Bartonville Relay for Life.

120 people in 11 teams weathered the rain at Limestone Community High School.

Organizers hope to raise 32,000 dollars.

They say rain doesn't stop for cancer, so it shouldn't stop them.

Chairperson Amy Epkins said, "It is raining, and it might be a little bit of an inconvenience for us out here today, but the life and the day of a patient that has cancer, they don't ask for the weather. They wear out the storms, too."

Rain or shine, the relay will continue until 7:30 Sunday morning.
