One hundred and twenty Fairview Elementary third, fourth and fifth graders brought the story of “The Jungle Book” to life.
They've been rehearsing since January to get their show just right. The acting and singing extravaganza featured original costumes and makeup done by the zoo lady.
Students say all the extra work on the side to get ready for their big night on the stage was worth it.
"My favorite part was working with all of the cast because they're all amazing, and I liked working with the choir and it just made my last year at Fairview amazing,” said fifth grader Kathryn Stahl.
Monday’s show was the first time the kids had ever performed on stage at Normal Community High School.
