People are bringing in their weird items for Ripley's "Bizarre Buying Bazaar." Ripley's Believe It Or Not has a representative there to check out the artifacts. Appraisers could potentially purchase any they deem unbelievable.
James Hawkins' duct tape tapestry fell into that category today as Ripley's purchased his odd item.
"When you get recognition from the fabulous and famous Ripley's Believe It Or Not, and just being a huge fan, yeah, I'll say I'm pretty excited," Hawkins said.
If you have something you think is weird enough, the event continues tomorrow at the Riverfront Museum from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
