PEORIA - The monster trucks are in town to tear up the Peoria Civic Center this weekend.

But before they smashed up cars, they got to say hi to some special guests.

These are kids from Washington central primary school who lost their homes in November's tornado.

Washington Central Primary School and Feld Entertainment hosted a pizza party for students who lost their homes in November's tornado at the Civic Center Friday night.

They got free tickets to Friday night's show.

And they also got to meet all the drivers.

"I think parents are trying to find ways to get their kids through this very difficult time, said Central Primary Principal Brett Lawless. "Monster Truck Jam event really is a home run."
