Cooking with Karissa: Bacon Wrapped Smokies With Brown Sugar Maple Glaze

1lb Bacon
1 pkg Smokies
1 c. Brown Sugar
Maple Syrup (to taste)

Preheat oven to 375F. Cut bacon into thirds. Wrap each Smokie with a slice of bacon, securing with a toothpick. Place wrapped Smokies in a single layer on a baking dish covered with foil and sprayed with cooking spray. Place a small pile of brown sugar on each one of the Smokies. Drizzle with maple syrup. Bake 15-20 minutes. Turn heat up to 400F for 5 minutes or until bacon becomes brown, but not too crispy. Serve in slow cooker to keep warm. Add in extra maple syrup if desired.
