Bandits Steal Chiefs' Opening Joy

WMBD/WYZZ-TV - PEORIA, Ill. -- Matt Williams and Anthony Garcia had big hits in a five-run ninth-inning rally to propel Quad Cities past the Chiefs, 8-3 in the home opener Monday night at O'Brien Field.

Williams delivered an RBI single and Garcia a three-run double as the River Bandits (2-2) blew open a close game. The Chiefs (2-2) wore throwback jerseys paying homage to the 1983 Suns, Peoria's first professional baseball team.
