WMBD/WYZZ-TV - PEORIA, Ill -- Three members of the Chiefs were a hit before their Thursday game.
Outfielder Anthony Giansanti, first baseman Ryan Cuneo and third baseman Brandon May paid a visit to patients at the Children's Hospital of Illinois. They brought autographed baseballs, posters and other team memorabilia to the children in the hospital.
"We were excited about coming here, seeing these kids and bringing some excitement to their day," said Cuneo, who's eight-game hitting streak came to an end later in the day. "It can be tough sitting in a hospital bed for most of the day. We just wanted to come talk to them a little bit and give back."
