WMBD/WYZZ-TV - PEORIA, Ill. -- On the night his baseball team won it's season-high fourth game in a row, Cubs chairman Tom Ricketts was at O'Brien Field.

"I do enjoy coming out to the minor league baseball games, it reminds you of what's great about the game. It's family, it's fun, it's great atmosphere," said Ricketts. "I also enjoy getting to know our players and our coaches here. They're the future of the team."

Ricketts made his first ever trip to Peoria on Wednesday. He was the guest of honor at a charity luncheon and then watched the Chiefs beat Burlington, 5-2.

But everyone at the ballpark wanted to know about his team. And when it will turn things around.

"It's been terrific. Obviously, we're disappointed with the season," said Ricketts, who's family purchased the Cubs in 2009. "We've got some wood to chop, we've gotta win more games."
