WMBD/WYZZ-TV - EAST PEORIA, Ill. - Two years ago, Illinois Central College finished fifth at the national tournament.

Last year the Lady Cougars finished fourth. Certainly, ICC would like to improve again at the softball nationals but the Cougars would really like to better their outcome against one school in particular.

"I definitely want another crack at Cowley," said ICC sophomore Sam Gudat of the team that has eliminated ICC from the last two national tournaments. "I think we're a lot more prepared, we're settled in, we have a good group of freshman that are ready to play."

ICC isn't sure if it'll get another shot at Cowley County Community College (Kansas). The Lady Cougars will learn of their National Junior College Athletics Association pairings later in the week.
