ISU assistant takes coaching job at Tennessee State

NORMAL - Illinois State assistant head coach Dana Ford has been hired as Tennessee State's new basketball coach, according to a university source.

Ford reportedly will be introduced Monday at a news conference in Nashville, TN.

He will replace Travis Williams, who was fired on March 11th.

Ford served as an assistant at TSU under former coach John Cooper from 2009-11. Ford spent the last 2 seasons at Illinois State under Head Coach Dan Muller.

The Redbirds went 36-31 in the last two seasons.
