IWU Believes It's Better Than Predicted

WMBD/WYZZ-TV - BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - When Illinois Wesleyan was picked third in this week's preseason CCIW poll, the Titans took notice.

Now they want the rest of the league to notice how good they can be.

"I love being the underdog, it's great experience. Getting that climb to the top-type of motivation is what I look for," said IWU defensive lineman Jeff Jerome. "Coach (Norm Eash) has a saying too that the idea of us being a dark horse in the NCAA polls. I'm excited to see how the season will go."

IWU is ranked 27th in the preseason Div. III national poll.
