WMBD/WYZZ-TV - PEORIA, Ill - One team was expected to be there, the other is crashing the party.

Second-seeded Manual heads into Friday night's regional championship game against fifth-seeded Morton.

"We know our history about basketball in this state, that's what makes it so great," said Morton coach Jarrett Brown. "We are so blessed to be able to get together again with something on the line. And we're not going to take that for granted."

Manual beat Washington in Tuesday's semifinal.

"These seniors have been around for four years. They are not ready for it to be over," said Manual coach Derrick Booth. "Friday night they are going to go out and give it their all. Hopefully they can come out with a regional title on their home floor. But we know we have our work cut out for us. Morton is a tough ball club. Now we have to go work preparing for Morton."
