PEORIA - A survivor of the attacks on nine-eleven shares how that tragic day gave him a new mission in life.
Surviver Sujo John spoke with students at Bradley University on Thursday. John was working on the 81 floor of the North Tower on the morning of the September 11 attacks. He was able to get out of the building but went searching for his pregnant wife, who worked in the South Tower.
That's when a plane struck the building and buried john in rubble.
Since his rescue, john travels the world to share how the events gave him a new faith and hope in god.
“All around us things have changed as a result of the attack on 9/11,” he said. “I'll be sharing my personal story and also talking about how there can always be hope, no matter what you go through.”
John's wife was not harmed in attacks. He later found out she was late for work that day.
