American Red Cross Assisting Colorado Flood Victims

The American Red Cross is helping the many victims of flooding in Colorado.
The American Red Cross is taking action for the Colorado flood victims.

The agency is supporting rescue efforts and providing food, shelter and supplies to thousands of people.

Local Red Cross chapters are on standby, if volunteers from the area are needed.

Spokesperson Erin Miller said employees here understand the long recovery that comes with this kind of disaster. “To try and rebuild, to try to get back to the place that you were before the disaster it does take a long time. And it takes a lot of community resources and a lot of help and that's what here locally, we are doing.”

You can support the flood victims by making a donation. There are couple different ways. You can call 1-800-RED CROSS, text the word REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation, or visit www.redcross.org.
