A crow from Mackinaw tested positive for West Nile virus, according to a release Friday from the Tazewell County Health Department. Tazewell County has reported positive birds with West Nile from Delavan, Pekin, Washington, Morton and now Mackinaw. West Nile is transmitted through the bite of a mosquito that has contracted the virus by feeding on an infected bird.
