The city of Bloomington is looking to help fund Miller Park Zoo's master plan. It was the topic of discussion during Monday night's council work session. The zoo is asking for the city's help to fund phase one of the plan which includes items such as the Flamingo exhibit and infracstructure. According to news partner WJBC Radio, the council was leaning toward a recommendation of a 60 40 funding split. This would mean the city would pay 60 percent while 40 percent would be paid for with private donations. A formal vote by the council is expected in a few weeks.
