One of six people, indicted on felony drug charges in McLean County in connection with a marijuana growing operation, was sentenced Friday to three years in prison. Ted Monniger of Bloomington had pleaded guilty to producing marijuana plants, according to court officials. According to prosecutors, the drug growing operation began in Bloomington and expanded to a home near Tremont. The six suspects were originally charged with calculated criminal drug conspiracy and conspiracy to commit illegal marijuana production.
