Bloomington PD Investigates Convenience Store Robberies

Bloomington police are investigating a pair of robberies that happened at convenience stores along Main Street.
BLOOMINGTON - Bloomington police are investigating a pair of robberies that happened at convenience stores along Main Street.

Police say around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, a man walked into Freedom Oil store and demanded all of the money in the register. Then, they say he showed a weapon to the clerk and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Around 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, a man asked the clerk working at Huck's on the corner of Main and Hamilton for cigarettes, then showed a weapon and demanded money from the drawer

The first robbery suspect is described as a heavy black male, 35 to 45 years of age, wearing a dark blue striped shirt and blue jeans.

The second suspect is described as a black male, 30 to 40 years of age, around six feet and 235 pounds, wearing a dark shirt, a black cap with a white oval shaped logo,

Both suspects are said to have been driving an older white Dodge Caravan. If you have any information, call the Bloomington Police Department.
