Bloomington Police Investigate Two Armed Robberies

BLOOMINGTON - Bloomington police continue to investigate two convenience store armed robberies.
BLOOMINGTON - Bloomington police continue to investigate two convenience store armed robberies.

Robbery 1: 1402 S. Main, Freedom Oil gas station, 11:20 PM Tuesday, 10/1/13. 
A heavy black male, 35 to 45 years of age, wearing a dark blue striped shirt and blue jeans, entered the store and walked directly to the counter then demanded all of the money in the cash drawer. When the clerk asked the suspect to repeat the demand, the suspect displayed a weapon and took an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect then fled the area in an older white Dodge Caravan.

Robbery 2: 2401 S. Main, Huck's gas station, 4:25AM on Wednesday, 10/2/2013.
A black male, 30 to 40 years of age, approx. 6'00" / 235 lbs, wearing a dark shirt, a black cap with a white oval shaped logo, approached the counter and asked for cigarettes. The clerk retrieved the cigarettes and when he turned around the suspect brandished a weapon and demanded money from cash drawer. The suspect left the area in an older white Dodge Caravan.
