The national unemployment numbers were released Friday showing over 200,000 jobs were created, lowering the unemployment rate to 7 percent. However, looking closer at the details, 41 percent of the net new jobs created were either federal, state or local government jobs. Wall Street investors reacted favorably to the news with a big market rally. Despite the encouraging jobs report, 1,148,000 fewer Americans held jobs in November than did seven years ago in November 2006, according to data released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
