BU Ready to Resume After Snapping Streak

Braves feeling better after first MVC win
WMBD/WYZZ-TV - PEORIA, Ill. - It was cold and snowy Monday, and Bradley couldn't wait to get to practice.

The Braves snapped their seven-game losing streak with Saturday night's win over Drake Monday was BU's first practice following a win since Dec 2.

"Every team has ups and downs. We certainly have our down moments," said senior guard Walt Lemon, Jr. "Last month it was a rough stretch. No wins when we could have had won. We beat ourselves so, to come out and win this game...it's a sigh of relief. Got a weight off our shoulder. Keep working from here."

The Braves will try to move to 2-1 in Missouri Valley play when they host Missouri State Wednesday.

"In conference, we say all the time the hardest win is the first one. You don't want to get away from you," said head coach Geno Ford. "You start looking at the schedule and youre one the road, home for a tough one, back on road. Just not any easy venues in our league to be quite honest."
