Caterpillar Group President Stu Levenick urged Congress Tuesday to develop federal surface transportation reauthorization legislation that enhances the nation's infrastructure system and enables companies like Caterpillar to compete globally. Levenick said during his testimony before a congressional committee, America needs a multi year bill so we can build infrastructure and get back to the road to competitiveness. The current bill expires this September. Levenick said our transportation system is the backbone of our economy and he said we must renew our commitment to this system to continue to be globally competitive.
