Caterpillar Responds to Tornado Outbreak

Caterpillar Responds to Tornado Outbreak
Caterpillar released a statement following the storms Sunday, saying none of its employees at its East Peoria, Washington, Pontiac or Joliet was hurt and no damage was reported at its facilities. Caterpillar says employees who have been affected by the storms should contact their superevisor as soon as they are able to do so. Supervisors are then encouraged to coordinate all affected employee information through the Human Resources managers. The Caterpillar Foundation is engaged in this disaster. Affected Caterpillar employees who need help, or those who wish to donate should work directly through Caterpillar's partners at the Red Cross and the Salvation Army, as they are on the scene in the affected communities. Caterpillar also has equipment and a team of operators from the Peoria Proving Grounds who are on standby.
