PEORIA - One central Illinois woman is recieving a very unique gift for her birthday.
Her name is Clara Eddy and she is 108-years-old.
Friday, Professional Hearing and Audiology of Peoria gave Clara new top-of-the-line hearing aids.
A volunteer at Peoria's Friendship House says Clara's new "ears" will help her to better communicate with the people she loves to help.
"Because she is so active in the community and her lifestyle keeps her busy everyday, we want to help Clara to continue to stay active in the community and help enhance her community involvment and enhance her lifestyle.
They are alot better than the ones I just had," says Brian Dencker, Director of Development.
Clara hopes to out-live her father, who died at the age of 113.
Her only other complaint in life... is a little arthritis.
