WMBD/WYZZ-TV - NORMAL, Ill. - Illinois State's game at Eastern Illinois extends one of the longest rivalries in college football.
The Redbirds and Panthers will meet for the 102nd time Saturday in Charleston. ISU hopes it's not a long night for its defense.
EIU runs a fast-paced, no-huddle offense. Which makes it difficult for defenses to make substitutions and makes it easy to wear out.
"You're in shape for this game from the summer workouts and the work you put in the winter,"' said ISU defensive end Colton Underwood. "You can't get ready for this game in a week. It's something we're prepared for all summer."
It's a 6 p.m. kickoff Saturday.
