Constitution Trail Becomes Haunted Trail

NORMAL -As we move closer to Halloween, you start to see the popularity of haunted houses going up.
NORMAL -As we move closer to Halloween, you start to see the popularity of haunted houses going up.

But Normal is continuing its 18 year long tradition of a haunted trail.

A quarter mile section between the connie link amphitheater and vernon avenue gets transformed with strobe lights and other spooky creatures of the night.

It's a challenge to make it better every year, but organizers say that's what makes it fun.

"We have a lot of fun setups that we've got where we have fog machines, we have different things set up where people can jump out and scare you. There might be somebody with a chainsaw that comes out chasing you a little bit. You never know when you come out to the haunted trail,” said Joel Dickerson, special events supervisor for Normal Parks and Recreation.

Hours are Friday and Saturday from 6:30- 9 p.m, and admission is $1. Each night is limited to 1,600 people. If you'd like more info, we've created a link.
