Country Financial Sponsors Concert for Tornado Victims

BLOOMINGTON - Central Illinois tornado victims may get a chance to see another free concert.
BLOOMINGTON - Central Illinois tornado victims may get a chance to see another free concert.

Last month, "Rock To The Rescue" raised more than $400,000 for tornado victims.

Country Financial paid for the concert giving away more than 5,000 tickets to see the band Chicago at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum.

Tickets became available late this morning and were gone in less than two hours.
"They thought that doing a concert for free would be a great way to lift people's spirits up about the tragedies that happened in those communities,” said Jenna Fecht, marketing and communications manager for U.S. Cellular Coliseum in Bloomington.

U.S. Cellular officials say there's no way to ensure if the tickets made their way to the victims.

Coliseum officials will be meeting over the next couple of days to determine if they can make more seats available, as well as setting up a donation station for tornado victims.
