A 41 year old Cuba, Illinois man was arrested Friday afternoon by Fulton County police on a warrant, charging disorderly conduct (false police report) and felony theft in connection with some missing money from the American Legion. Police say Jamey S. Ford, a bartender at the American Legion, reported a robbery last September. Deputies say schools in the area were put on temporary lockdown that day as a precaution. Police, in a news release Friday, claim, upon further investigation, they determined the robbery never occurred and Ford allegedly committed the theft from the Legion. Police say Ford is charged with taking in excess of $500. His bond was set at $25,000.
