CWTC Partners w/ Olive Garden For Special Awareness

CWTC and Olive Garden honors National Disability Employee Awareness Month.
PEORIA - October is National Disability Employee Awareness Month, and two Central Illinois businesses are teaming up to help educate the public on America’s disabled workers.

CWTC and Olive Garden are both pushing the annual campaign to celebrate the contributions of workers with disabilities.

Employees at both facilities got a chance to learn about different training opportunities and learn about various work skills.

Officials say today's event helps recognize those, who've become such valued staff members.

Bill Adams with CWTC says, "We have found that when we sit down with people and really find out what they want to do, they become a long lasting employee for different companies.  We've placed people everything from receptionists to attorneys to that dishwasher position.  So, we really try to focus on what their needs and wants are."

Several Olive Garden employees visited the community workshop and training center to get a view of the everyday operations.
