All Counties Approve Funding for Tri-County Regional Planning Commission

$250,000 approved
PEORIA - The Tri-County Regional Planning Commission became $250,000 richer Wednesday night.

In January the commission requested funding from its three member counties; $100,000 each from Peoria and Tazewell counties plus $50,000 from Woodford County. Peoria and Woodford counties have already approved the funding. Wednesday night the Tazewell County Board voted to come up with the money as well.
Originally the board had a list of conditions; it wanted the commission to create an oversight committee, increase hours for certain staff members and hire an interim executive director. But the funding part passed without that agreement.
