Allegiant Adds New Flight at CIRA

Come this fall, residents will be able to escape to the beach.
BLOOMINGTON- Residents in the Twin Cities will soon have the chance to travel to the beach this fall.

Allegiant announced it will begin non-stop service from the Central Illinois Regional Airport in Bloomington to Tampa-St. Petersburg on November 21st.

Introductory fares will start at $75.

CIRA's Executive Director says the airport is excited to have a beach destination back on the flight itinerary.

"We currently don't offer a beach destination so to be able to offer non-stop service to Tampa/St. Petersburg and the beach is fantastic for us. We're very excited. It's a strong market for us and we have high hopes for great success," said Carl Olson, CIRA's Executive Director.

This new flight marks as CIRA's 9th non-stop destination.
