An autopsy today reveals a Peoria man found in a field apparently died of cold exposure.
That was the preliminary finding today by the Peoria County Coroner, Johnna Ingersoll, into the death of 28-year-old James Clark.
Clark was found in a field near Route 40 and Akron Road around 8 o’clock Wednesday morning, about a half mile away from his car.
Clark was last seen by his girlfriend at their Peoria residence around 4:30 on Tuesday afternoon.
The coroner says there was no visible sign of injury on his body, but an exact cause of death will await toxicology test results.
