Politico's latest public opinion survey of competitive 2014 states and districts is similar to a NPR poll just a month ago. According to the latest Battleground Poll, President Obama's job approval rating is underwater by double digits 43/57 while the GOP has a two point edge in the latest generic Congressional ballot and a seven point lead on foreign policy. 45 percent of those polled favor repealing Obamacare with fewer than one in five favor leaving Democrats' signature healthcare program intact. Meantime, the Washington Post added a post claiming Democrat primary turnout is down 30 percent from 2010 while GOP primary turnout is on par with history. Pollsters also asked how voters to rate the job Hillary Clinton did as Secretary of State...only 14 percent said she did an excellent job while 32 percent did a poor job. Mrs. Clinton's name has been tossed around as a possible 2016 presidential contender.
