Bloomington Man Convicted of Setting House Fire

A Bloomington man, accused of starting a fire at his home which left two people injured, was convicted Monday of four counts of aggravated arson by a McLean County jury but the same jury found him NOT GUILTY of attempted murder. 25 year old Joshua Hoeniges was charged with setting fire to his home while his family was still inside last March. Firemen say when they arrived in the 1200 block of West Walnut, the house was fully involved with people trapped. Damage to the home was listed at 25 thousand dollars. Hoeniges, who maintained his innocence, will be sentenced October 24th.
