Chef Charles' Caprese Stuffed Burgers

Chef Charles is in the Living Well kitchen cooking up a tasty twist burgers.
Caprese Stuffed Burgers
Yield 4 servings

1 lb ground beef
Salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste
8 each grape tomatoes, sliced in half
1 pkg fresh mozzarella, sliced
8 leaves fresh basil, shredded
Olive oil and balsamic vinegar to taste
4 each burger buns

Mix ground beef with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Portion ground beef into 8 burgers, making them thinner in the center. Take 4 of the burgers and stuff with the tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil. Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Top burgers with the other 4 burgers and seal together with hands.Cook burgers on grill or in pan. Toast burger buns if desired.
