Central Illinois tornado victims are getting thousands of dollars to help with recovery efforts.

It’s all from something that was free.

Wednesday’s concert by the band Chicago at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum brought in more than $8,000 for the American Red Cross.

Country Financial, on of the sponsors of that concert, also donated $25,000 to help with tornado relief.

All of the tickets to the concert were claimed within hours and then additional seats were added by shrinking the stage prior to the show.
