GIFFORD -- Some people in town didn't have to pay a cent for lunch Tuesday. It's because volunteers at St. Paul's Lutheran Church provided meals for people around the village.

They started serving lunches in November, but stopped when it got too cold to work outside. Now they're at it again and they plan to keep going as long as they're needed.

There aren't as many people taking advantage of the meals now as there were six months ago, but volunteers say they've fed thousands since November. Now, they serve lunches from Monday through Saturday. They've also been delivering meals to the Habitat for Humanity volunteers.
