CountyLink Reaches Rural Peoria County

CountyLink Reaches Rural Peoria County

The bus service can now get out to more rural areas of the county.

BELLEVUE - CountyLink bus service is expanding it's reach.

Some previously rural communities are now being considered urbanized, meaning they no longer qualify for CountyLink

That frees up time for more rural parts of the area to take advantage of the service.

The service area now includes Brimfield, Hanna City, Princeville, plus several more.

Before the remapping, it was hard for those communities to catch a ride.

"If the van's full, then they're just wasn't any room for them. Now that they've got some more hours and some time to work with, they can get out there and get those people picked up,” Josh Moore of CityLink said.

CountyLink hours are from 5 a.m. until 6 p.m., and to make a reservation with county-link, call 309-697-3305.
