WMBD/WYZZ-TV - DUNLAP, Ill. - The largest summer basketball camp in the Peoria area has a new home.
the Curley "Boo" Johnson Skills For Life camp officially moved to Dunlap High School Monday. Six hundred participants are expected at the 2014 camp, said Johnson, the camp director.
The former Harlem Globetrotter moved his seven-year-old camp from Peoria Academy to Dunlap for more space.
"We had to move, Dunlap has been gracious to allow us to be here.," said Johnson. "We have two campuses full of basketball camps. We had breakout numbers (Monday)."
The camp, which will run through Friday, has a boys session in the morning and a girls session in the afternoon.
THE CAMP HAS A BOYS SESSION IN THE MORNING, GIRLS IN THE AFTERNOON.
