Delavan to Discuss Proposed Marijuana Processing Facility

The City of Delavan will hold first public hearings about the proposed facility next week.
DELAVAN - The City of Delavan will hold its first public hearings regarding a proposed marijuana processing facility next week.
The proposal considers allowing the company ICC Holdings to run an indoor marijuana processing facility on the eastern part of town.
The city administrator says it would create about 50 jobs and bring in about $3 million annually.
It would also provide an additional $1 million to local schools.
While it would be one of the city's largest employers, some residents don't support the idea.
The public can attend the city's board of zoning appeals meeting at 5:30 pm on Monday, June 30th.
There's another meeting at 6 pm on Tuesday, July 1st.
