WMBD/WYZZ-TV - PEORIA, Ill. - It's no longer just hot dogs, beer and Cracker Jacks.
"I think fans, no matter what the sport, go for food anymore," said Chiefs president Rocky Vonachen. "It's part of the experience for going to sporting events. Each year, we try and think of new things we try and offer our fans."
So this year, the Chiefs are offering new food items like a foot long corn dog, dubbed the Dozer Dog. And one pound turkey legs.
"Food is part of the experience. We want to make it over the top," said Chiefs executive chef Ginny Ross. "I'm not trying to re-invent the wheel. I just want good ballpark food and I want it to be a surprise."
