Those drums, those drums come out there with you, they're right in front of you," said Bloomington senior Donovan Loftin. "It's get your heart moving a little. It's crazy, the lights are a great feeling. I mean, it's amazing. The crowd, the energy there, it's amazing."
Teams have been practicing throughout the summer and had training camps the past two weeks.
"Coming out on Friday nights, the whole town comes to watch you play," said Stark County QB Joe Charvat. "There's nothing better than the Friday night lights here in Stark County."
Season openers are Aug. 29.
"It's just the lights. When I see those lights, I just get chills down my spine and you know I listen to music and all that, but when I get out there, those first stretches when you're on the field," said Morton senior Braden Rassi. "It hits you hard."
Players are down to their final few days of waiting.
Riley Beard/IVC Senior: "It's just crazy. Everyone's crazy. We're all hyped up," said IVC senior Riley Beard. "We get so hyped up here though. It's just crazy, I don't know."
