Historic Route 66 attracts riders of all kinds throughout the summer, but one man has come across the pond to push the limits of his unique pedals.
Historic Route 66 attracts riders of all kinds throughout the summer, but one man has come across the pond to push the limits of his unique pedals.
Thierry Suptil of France is participating in the Go-66 Challenge.
It consists of a 2,400 mile bike ride from Chicago to Los Angeles.
But instead of doing it on a traditional bike, he’s using an elliptigo.
Suptil says it’s a big workout but worth the effort.

Elliptigo Enthusiast Suptil says, "Much different because you are always standing, there is no seat. The workout is harder but the feelings are better. You have no back pain, no neck pain. It's very interesting."

Suptil will complete the first stage of his ride at the end of the month.
