Hancock Stadium To Show 'Frozen' On Big Screen

NORMAL - The Bloomington-Normal community is going to get a cool treat on Saturday night.

As a conclusion to its community appreciation week, Illinois State University will be showing the movie "Frozen" on its new Hancock Stadium scoreboard starting at 6 p.m. Gates will open at 5 p.m.

Fans can sit on the field and enjoy the movie, or go in the east bleachers, while enjoying free popcorn and soda. Athletic officials say it will feel a lot like a drive-in movie.

"The experience isn't available as much as it used to be. So, to come on a nice night, sit on the field, watch a movie, and eat a little popcorn with your kids or your family and friends. I think everyone is just going to enjoy a different experience,” said Larry Lyons, ISU’s athletic director.

It's the second time the scoreboard will ever be used. The first time was for the spring football game.
