Historic Home In Lilly Catches Fire

LILLY - Built in the 1930s, a very historic home falls victim to a devastating fire.
The Lilly Inn, near Mackinaw, is more than 180 years old.

Sadly it caught fire last weekend.
Fire officials responded to the fire just after 7PM Saturday night.
Multiple fire departments had to respond as the fire got out of control.

The family living there was there when the fire started.
Fire officials say the family caught out in time but their dogs did not.

The inn served as a place to stop and rest for lawyers during the 1800s.
Some historians believe that Abraham Lincoln stayed their while he was a lawyer.

The family that owns the home currently does not know if they will rebuild or not.
