After graduating from Morton High School in 1997, Major Nathan Owen received an appointment to the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. He went on to flight school for two years, flying the A10 Warthog since 2003.

Nathan completed tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan. He and his wife, Jennifer, even spent three years stationed at Osan Air Force Base in South Korea. They are currently living in Tuscon, Arizona, where Nathan's 2000 plus hours in the A10 have qualified him to work as an instructor pilot.

Nathan and Jennifer are expecting their first child in May. When he's not flying, Nathan enjoys sailing, hiking and golf. He's an avid Cubs fan and watches them every chance he gets.
