IL Congressman Upset With VA Treatment

NORMAL - A Central Illinois congressman says he's had enough with the controversy facing the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
NORMAL - A Central Illinois congressman says he's had enough with the controversy facing the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Congressman Rodney Davis (R-13) says VA Secretary Eric Shinseki should be fired for his alleged mismanagement of veterans in clinics across the country. Davis says there is no reason there should be a delay in getting veterans the treatment and respect they deserve.

"If Eric Shinseki hasn't been fired by the last time that I check my iPhone, he should be. He is a disaster. What is happening to the VA is a systemic failure that needs to change,” said Davis.

Davis says one thing he's especially disappointed in is the three positive tests required before a patient can get a colonoscopy.
